Pendo is now TX-RAMP certified

Published Jul 23, 2024
Pendo has become an approved software solution for Texas state entities to purchase and use.

At Pendo, we believe that every organization is a software organization—including those in the public sector. But as orgs in that sector—including state and local governments, non-profits, and higher-education institutions—embrace digital transformation, questions and concerns invariably arise about the security and reliability of the software solutions they use in their operations. These concerns are well warranted—which is why many states are imposing strict security and services standards that any approved vendor needs to meet.

Pendo fulfills a key Texas security requirement

Case in point: The state of Texas requires all of its public-sector agencies (cities, government departments, colleges and universities, etc.) to only procure software that has achieved Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP) certified status.

Through our partnership with Anthology, we are proud to announce that Pendo has become TX-RAMP certified, and is now included on the list of approved software solutions for entities within the state of Texas to purchase. This enables us to begin to engage with and help public agencies and orgs across the state do more for their users and improve their outcomes. Achieving TX-RAMP status is the latest instance of Pendo’s demonstrated commitment to data privacy and security, as evidenced by our SOC 2 Type II compliance in all 5 Trust Services Principles.

Looking ahead

Having now achieved TX-RAMP certification, Pendo is working towards obtaining StateRAMP certification, a common standard for cybersecurity currently recognized by almost half of U.S. states, with more planning to join. This will allow us to take our efforts to elevate public-sector digital experiences to the next level—whether that’s helping a government agency modernize cumbersome, paper-heavy workflows; supporting a public university as it optimizes application and course registration processes; or assisting a non-profit in streamlining volunteer applications online.

Security, privacy, and transparency have always been foundational to Pendo’s approach to our work. In becoming TX-RAMP certified, we continue to honor these values as a north star of how we design our products and policies.
