A New Home

Last week, we announced that we signed a lease for our new headquarters in downtown Raleigh.  I’m excited about the results of this process and am confident that our new home will support our growth plans for the future.  More importantly, we feel that we found a partner in Empire Properties that understands our needs and helped to tailor a deal to meet those unique needs.

Our Priorities

  1. Staying close to downtown. We have fallen for the Warehouse district in downtown Raleigh. With Citrix, HQRaleigh and other organizations the Warehouse district has become a tech hub in the region. Within walking distance of great restaurants, bars, and other amenities (e.g. a chocolate factory), the Warehouse district is an amazing place to work.
  2. Creating a destination space to grow our team. People are the cornerstone of great technology companies, and great people deserve a great place to work. We spend a large percentage of our waking hours at work, and I’m happy to know that our team will be spending this time in a world-class destination. Our new HQ boasts an open floor plan, vast outdoor areas, showers and a locker room, and a large rooftop deck offering views of the RedHat Amphitheater.
  3. Flexibility. We have exciting plans. If we achieve our plans, we will candidly outgrow this space in a few years. We worked collaboratively with Empire to include a variety of options that will accommodate our growth, both now and the future.

Sincere Thanks

Tis the season for thanks, and I wanted first to thank everyone that’s helped us to this point. I’d especially like to thank our customers who are amazing to work with and are the reason we do what we do.

Lastly, we’d like to offer a special thanks to our prior landlord. We signed a lease with HQRaleigh 3 days after closing our seed round of capital and immediately moved in. The beauty of HQRaleigh was that everything was handled instantly. They saved us time handling furniture, coffee/beer, networking, and other essentials. In short, choosing HQRaleigh enabled us to focus on the most important part of our business — building software and gaining customers. This focus has contributed to our current success, and I wanted to sincerely thank the team and community at HQRaleigh. We will miss our HQ family, and we look forward to staying connected and helping where we can. For every entrepreneur starting or looking to start a company, here’s some quick advice: find partners like HQRaleigh that free you up to focus on what really matters.
