As Pendo’s first director of communications, I get a lot of questions about what I do here. Media relations, speaking and awards submissions, writing, editing and social media strategy are typically on the list. But I recently added a new responsibility—wrangler of dinosaurs.

In the planning stages for our recent office move, we decided a fun way to commemorate the move would be to walk our large pink dinosaur through the streets of downtown Raleigh from our old office to the new one.

Keeping with our quirky startup culture, we’d make stops along the way to celebrate our roots in the local tech community and our growth as we take over 43,000 square feet in a prominent high rise office building. Our friends at Walk West agreed to film it, and we worked together to land a variety of local talent: Raleigh Mayor Nancy McFarlane, a drone operator, local news anchor, kids, startup workers and of course, fellow dinos.

The dino trekked over six miles, overcoming a challenging loading dock and freight elevator situation to land safe and sound in our 14th floor lobby in the Wells Fargo Capitol Center. Highlights of the adventure are captured in the video below:

We’re putting the finishing touches on the new office, so stay tuned for photos!
