Pendo pricing combines two things: the number of Monthly Active Users (MAUs) you track and the functionality you choose as part of your plan. As you add more MAUs, your overall price increases, but the cost per MAU goes down.
This model makes it simple to start small and expand as your needs grow. You only pay for the scale and functionality that create value for your business, and you can add more at any time. Our focus is helping you grow adoption and realize greater value from Pendo, so our priorities remain directly tied to the outcomes that matter most to you.
Monthly active users (MAUs) are the number of unique visitors who were active in your app over the last 30 calendar days. In general, a unique visitor is counted as an active user if they engage with your app(s) at least once within a specified time period.
No. Pendo pricing is based on Monthly Active Users (MAUs), not the number of applications you track or the number of sessions a user has. You can use Pendo across multiple applications at no additional cost per application. In fact, adding more applications gives you richer insights and a more complete view of your users.

If you’re on a paid plan, exceeding your MAU limit won’t disrupt your Pendo experience. Your functionality will continue to run without interruption. Your Pendo account representative will reach out to understand whether the increase is due to expected growth that may require a contract adjustment, or if it’s a configuration issue we can help resolve.
If you’re on Pendo Free, exceeding the MAU limit means you won’t be able to create new guides, NPS surveys, or segments until you upgrade to a paid plan.
